Are you considering parenting?

Parenting is challenging and rewarding all at the same time. You may be thinking, “There’s no way I could parent a child. I’m not ready!” But you may be surprised to find out about the resources and community support available to help you.

Is Parenting Right For You?

Raising a child is a life-long adventure. It’s also a ton of responsibility. A lot of research is available on different parenting options. Married parenting, co-parenting, single parenting, making an adoption plan, and short-term care are all different parenting options you might be facing.

We’re here to help you find the tools you need for successful parenting. As you consider parenting, ask yourself some of the following questions:

  • What if my husband/partner doesn’t want the baby, but I do?
  • How do I tell my family? Will they give me their support?
  • How will I finish school?
  • Can I continue working?
  • Where will I live?
  • Can I afford a child?
  • Am I too young?

These are all important and valid questions. The fact that you’re thinking about them shows responsibility and courage.

How We Will Help

We believe you can do this! Look at our parenting resources and programs, then call us to schedule your appointment to talk about the parenting option.

Bridges Program

Moms and Dads have millions of things to learn. Prenatal care and nutrition, child development, breastfeeding or formula, diapering, swaddling, disciplining, reading, safety, picking a caregiver/babysitter are all important issues to learn as you parent.

We want to help you! Our experienced advocates will meet with you twice a month, answer questions, provide education, and ensure you have what you need to rock your new role as mom! At the meetings, you’ll also get to interact with other first-time moms, listen to engaging speakers, and earn points that you can use to get supplies you need for your little one!

Father Factor

A father is one of the most important people in a child’s life. As a first-time dad,  you have the opportunity to shape the character and future of your child. There’s probably a lot you don’t know though, right?

Welcome to Father Factor, a program that allows you to team up with an experienced dad who can teach you about how to care for your child and help equip you to be the best dad you can be! By participating in the program and attending the monthly meetings, you have the chance to earn points and gift cards that you can use to buy things you need for your little one!

Earn While You Learn Program

If you could use a helping hand as you provide for your little one, please call our center and set up an appointment. Both of our centers have a  boutique stocked with new and gently-used items for you and your baby. All of the supplies are available free of charge, for a limited number of visits.

As you both attend the above two groups, Bridges and Father Factor, you’ll earn points that can be used to “buy” special baby necessities. Ask more about how you can participate in Earn While You Learn.

Referrals and Resources

We can help you find other programs and organizations in the community to help meet the needs of you and your child.
